What Does a Podiatrist Treat?

What Does a Podiatrist Treat?

  • Ingrown toenails
  • Corns and calluses
  • Fungal nail infections
  • Verrucas and athlete’s foot
  • Bunions
  • Shin splints and stress fractures
  • Flat feet and high arches
  • Sports-related injuries

We also offer gait and biomechanical analysis to identify postural issues that may lead to pain in the feet, knees, hips, or back. These can often be corrected easily with orthotics and targeted exercises.

Podiatry Treatments Available

General Podiatry / Chiropody Treatment (30 mins – £65 £55.25)

Assessment and treatment of common foot problems, including:

  • Nail care (cutting, thickened nails, fungal nails)
  • Corns and calluses
  • Ingrown toenails
  • Verrucas
  • Skin issues (e.g. athlete’s foot)

Biomechanical Assessment (45 mins – £85 £72.25)

A full assessment of lower limb joints—both weight-bearing and non-weight-bearing—to identify mechanical issues that may be causing pain or discomfort when walking or running. If required, a plantar pressure scan can be used as part of the assessment.

Medical Pedicure (45 mins – £85 £72.25)

A comprehensive foot treatment that includes:

  • Nail cut and file
  • Callus and corn removal
  • Skin filing and buffing
  • Nail treatment and oil application

Leaves feet smooth, replenished, and refreshed. Ideal for regular foot care and long-lasting results.

Casting (30 mins – £50)

Plaster of Paris casting to create a precise model of the foot—often used in conjunction with the plantar pressure scan to aid orthotic design and prescription.

Podiatry Check-Up (15 mins – Price on enquiry)

Short, targeted sessions for routine maintenance or specific treatments such as verruca management. Ideal when regular treatment is more effective than a full-length appointment.
